Chaz Davies has brought his good form from Assen with him to Monza, topping the first session of free practice at the circuit in the park. Davies ended the session ahead of a pair of Motocard.com's Kawasakis, Spaniard David Salom beating his Australian teammate Broc Parkes. Davies' teammate Luca Scassa finished FP1 as 4th fastest, ahead of a pair of Hondas, the Hannspree Ten Kate bike of Fabien Foret and the Parkalgar machine of Sam Lowes, who is returning to action with a weakened shoulder after his massive highside in the race at Assen.
