Stoner and Dovizioso focused for Silverstone

Repsol Honda riders, Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso, will both take to the track this weekend with an eye on the podium for the sixth round of the 2011 MotoGP season. The team will face the AirAsia British Grand Prix without team mate Dani Pedrosa, who confirmed yesterday that he will miss the race in order to fully recover from his right collar bone injury.

2011 Silverstone MotoGP FP1 Results: Stoner Dominates From The Off

Casey Stoner has picked up where he left off at Catalunya, dominating the first session of free practice at a surprisingly sunny and dry Silverstone. The Repsol Honda rider led Marco Simoncelli by nearly two thirds of a second, while last year's winner Jorge Lorenzo ended the session in 3rd, a whole second behind Stoner. Nicky Hayden was just a couple of hundredths slower than Lorenzo, with Andrea Dovizioso rounding out the top 5.
